Obverse description Right-facing draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Constantius II, adorned with a rosette diadem composed of a double row of pearls with a central jeweled element, the hair rendered in fine parallel ridges swept back from the forehead. The emperor wears a paludamentum fastened at the right shoulder and a muscled cuirass decorated with pteryges, with a beaded torque visible at the neck. The portrait exhibits the refined, idealised style characteristic of Constantinian-era gold coinage, with high relief modelling and crisp die engraving. The obverse legend runs clockwise from the lower left within a plain border.
