Obverse description Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Constantius II facing right, wearing a distinctive pearl diadem with a prominent double row of beads visible above the brow. The emperor's hair is rendered in fine parallel striations swept back from the forehead, and the fleshy, idealised facial features are characteristic of the Antiochene workshop. The paludamentum is fastened at the shoulder and visible at the truncation. The Latin legend D N CONSTAN-TIVS P F AVG (Dominus Noster Constantius Pius Felix Augustus) runs along the beaded border from lower left to upper right.
