| Beschrijving keerzijde | Two facing imperial busts arranged side by side with a long patriarchal cross between them, which both figures hold jointly. To the left, Constantine VII is depicted bearded, wearing the crown cruciger and loros, the ceremonial imperial vestment; to the right, the younger Romanos II is shown beardless, wearing the chlamys and crown cruciger. The paired composition reflects the co-regency and follows the established iconographic convention of Byzantine joint-reign solidi. The peripheral legend identifies both emperors by name and title. |
