| Obverse description | Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Constantine I facing right, rendered in high relief in the characteristic late Constantinian idealised portraiture style, with a strong jaw, wavy locks falling to the nape, and the paludamentum secured at the right shoulder. The diadem is of the rosette type, composed of prominent beaded elements centred on a rosette motif, a hallmark of the final years of Constantine's reign. The finely modelled effigy conveys imperial gravitas through its sculptural depth and precise detailing of the cuirass and drapery. The encircling legend CONSTANTI-NVS MAX AVG runs from left to right around the obverse field. |
