Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Constans I facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair beneath the laurel wreath and ribbon ties visible behind the neck. The emperor's youthful and idealized effigy displays a clean-shaven face in the tradition of late Constantinian portraiture. The encircling Latin legend reads D N CONSTA-NS P F AVG, divided on either side of the bust. A beaded border frames the design around the coin's circumference.
