Obverse description Frontal bearded bust of Arichis II, draped and crowned with a cross-surmounted crown, depicted in the Byzantine imperial tradition. The effigy is shown facing, with stylized drapery rendered in horizontal ridges and a distinctive beaded collar. A patriarchal or processional cross is held to the left of the bust. The surrounding legend is divided on either side of the figure within a beaded border.
