Reverse description Quartered heraldic shield bearing the arms of Guelders and Jülich — displaying rampant lions in opposing quarters — centrally placed upon an ornate floriated cross whose four arms terminate in elaborate foliate and rosette finials, creating a symmetrical cross-and-shield composition typical of late medieval Netherlandish coinage. Small heraldic devices occupy the quadrants between the cross arms. Rose-shaped stops punctuate the circumferential Latin legend, which is disposed around the beaded inner border in Gothic lettering.
