Obverse description Bare-headed effigy of King Oscar I facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed wavy hair and a naturalistic portrait style characteristic of mid-19th century Swedish coinage. The truncation of the bust is plain and unadorned. A circular Latin legend runs along the periphery, reading from the lower left upward and around the coin. The field is smooth and unadorned save for the central portrait.
