The Corieltauvi occupied a territory roughly corresponding to the East Midlands, and their coinage tradition was among the more idiosyncratic in pre-Roman Britain — names appeared on their coins later than elsewhere, and often in paired form suggesting dual or shared magistracy rather than single rulers. Vepo Vepucunavos is one such paired inscription, though whether these represent two individuals, a title, or a dynastic formula remains unresolved.
Production almost certainly ended with Claudius's invasion of 43 AD, after which the tribe submitted relatively early and Corieltauvian coin production ceased entirely.
