Reverse description A stylised Celtic horse is depicted facing left, rendered in the abstract, flowing manner typical of Corieltauvian silver coinage. The mane is either absent or indicated by a row of short dashes, and the tail is elongated with a pronounced fern-like or sweeping linear form. Above the horse, a large pelletal solar motif — commonly described as an anemone or solar rosette — consists of a central pellet-in-ring surrounded by an outer ring of pellets. A spiral appears either before or behind the horse depending on the die variant, and some examples exhibit a double pellet within an annulet below the horse's body.
