背面描述 A schematically rendered seated figure facing right, depicted in the act of playing a lyre, executed in the bold, abstract Celtic style typical of Cunobeline's coinage. The reverse legend is disposed around the peripheral field. The design reflects a degree of classical iconographic influence interpreted through a native British artistic idiom.

附加信息

Cunobeline ruled the Catuvellauni from roughly 10 AD until his death around 40 AD, controlling a territory centered on Camulodunum — modern Colchester — that had been seized from the Trinovantes, which explains the tribal attribution in the type designation. He was powerful enough that Shakespeare later borrowed his name for Cymbeline, and his death directly precipitated the Roman invasion of 43 AD, when succession disputes among his sons gave Claudius the political pretext he needed.

The 'Trinovantian W' classification reflects ABC typology separating issues by geographic distribution of find spots, not a distinct tribal mint.
