The creature's body is depicted with boldly modelled, rounded forms, with wings suggested by sweeping linear elements above the torso. Pellet ornaments and additional decorative motifs fill the surrounding field, consistent with late Iron Age British coinage of the Catuvellauni. The flan is irregular in shape, as typical of hand-struck Celtic silver units of this period. |
