Sego is one of the last identifiable Cantii issuing authorities before Roman administrative reorganization effectively ended tribal coinage in the southeast. The guilloche pattern linking this type is a technical choice, not a tribal emblem — it appears across multiple late Celtic British series as die-cutters worked from shared Mediterranean-influenced templates circulating through the cross-Channel trade networks the Cantii depended on.
