| Obverse description | Diademed head facing right, rendered in the schematised Celtic artistic tradition derived from Hellenistic prototypes. The hair is depicted as a series of prominent, deeply modelled curls arranged in bold relief above and behind the head. The facial features are stylised, with a pronounced brow and simplified profile typical of late Iron Age British coinage. The diadem is indicated by a band across the forehead. The flan is irregular, as characteristic of hand-struck Celtic silver units of this period. |
