Obverse description A stylised boar faces right, rendered in the characteristic Celtic abstract idiom, with a deep chest and broad snout. The dorsal bristles are depicted as straight, upright lines, and the tail is non-curling; the near foreleg and hindleg are solid, while the off-side legs are bifurcated. No spear is present in the shoulder. Above the boar, a double pellet within an annulet is set within a large ring of pellets; additional pellets-in-ring ornaments appear above and below the area in front of the animal, and a spiral motif occupies the field behind.
