正面描述 Stylised Celtic design depicting the heads, necks, and forelegs of three horses arranged in a dynamic spiral or triskeles composition, rendered in the abstract curvilinear tradition characteristic of Late Iron Age British coinage. The flowing limbs interlock across the flan, creating a sense of rotational movement. Pellets and linear ornaments animate the field. A partial inscription reading [DVB]NOVALLA surrounds the design, referencing the issuing authority Dubnovellaunos.

附加信息

Dubnovellaunos ruled the Cantii in what is now Kent during a period of intensifying Roman commercial and diplomatic pressure — Caesar's expeditions of 55 and 54 BC had already demonstrated Rome's reach, and by this point Augustan influence was reshaping southern British tribal politics without outright conquest. His name appears on coins of both the Cantii and, later, the Trinovantes, suggesting either expansion of authority or forced displacement; the historical record doesn't settle the question cleanly. ABC 327 is among the lighter fractional silver issues attributable to his reign.
