| Beschrijving keerzijde | A robust horse strides to the right with its head turned back in a characteristic Celtic rendering, its body rendered with stylised musculature and pellet detailing along the lower field. Pellets and annulets are scattered in the field above and below the animal, serving as decorative fill elements common to Catuvellaunian coinage. The legend CVNO appears in the exergue below the horse, identifying the issuer as Cunobelin, king of the Catuvellauni and Trinovantes. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, consistent with hand-struck British Iron Age silver units of this period. |
