Obverse description A horizontal two-line tablet dominates the centre of the flan, enclosing the abbreviated royal legend CVNO in Latin characters. A cornucopia curves above the tablet, rendered in the flowing Celtic linear style. Below the tablet, two intertwined dolphins face one another, their sinuous bodies forming a symmetrical decorative device. The design is executed in the characteristic flat, stylised Celtic die-cutting tradition, with the irregular flan edges typical of hand-hammered Iron Age coinage.
