The Corieltauvi occupied the East Midlands and were among the more prolific coin-issuing tribes of Late Iron Age Britain, yet their monetary sequence remains poorly understood relative to southern groups like the Catuvellauni. The paired names on this type — DVMNOC and TIGIR SENO — almost certainly indicate a joint rulership or co-magistracy arrangement, a governance structure attested elsewhere in tribal Britain but nowhere more consistently than among the Corieltauvi, who produced several such dual-named issues in the decades before the Claudian invasion of 43 AD.
At 1.24g, this strikes notably light even against the already-debased late Corieltauvian silver series.
