Obverse description Two-line inscription divided by a horizontal band, forming a central tablet within a decorative wreath border. The upper legend reads CATVS and the lower reads CNAVO, rendered in bold, deeply struck Latin lettering characteristic of late Corieltauvian coinage. The wreath surround consists of stylised pellets and curved vegetal elements framing the inscription panel. The overall design reflects the increasingly text-focused aesthetic of the Corieltauvi in the early first century AD.
