| Reverse description | A stylised globular horse advances to the right, rendered in the highly abstracted late Celtic manner characteristic of Iceni coinage. The horse displays a large oval head with a single pellet denoting the eye, and a corn-ear mane suggesting vestigial naturalism. Below the head appears the letter S, while two pellets are placed below the tail, and a pelletal sun symbol occupies the upper field. Three pellets together with the partial inscription EDN appear in the lower field, identifying this as a contemporary counterfeit of the Ecen/Edn type unit. |
