Reverse description A hound depicted in full stride running to the right, rendered in the fluid, schematic style characteristic of late Iron Age Celtic coinage attributed to Verica of the Atrebates. The animal's body is conveyed through a series of curved lines and pellets suggesting musculature and movement. A partial inscription appears above the dog in the upper field, reading VIR or VER, an abbreviated form of the issuer's name. The flan is small and irregular, with design elements occasionally running to the edge.
