| Obverse description | Celticised male head facing left, rendered in a stylised Iron Age manner with strongly defined facial features including a prominent nose and circular eye. The hair is depicted in sweeping curved strands radiating back from the forehead. A beaded border partially frames the design around the coin's irregular periphery. The neck and lower portion of the bust are suggested by curved relief lines typical of late British Celtic coinage. The overall style reflects the artistic conventions of the Atrebatic coinage tradition under Epaticcus. |
