Obverse description Stylised crab motif rendered in the abstract Celtic artistic tradition, composed of curvilinear lines and pellet decorations arranged symmetrically across the flan. The design features scrollwork and pellet groupings characteristic of late Iron Age British coinage of the Atrebates and Regini. The inscription CRAB appears within or adjacent to the design elements. The flan is irregular and slightly cracked, consistent with the small hammered silver minim denomination. The overall composition reflects the highly schematised zoomorphic iconography typical of southern British Celtic coinage of the early 1st century AD.
