| Obverse description | A fully armored knight stands facing right in high relief, wearing a crested helmet adorned with an elaborate ornamental plume. The figure bears an upright sword over the right shoulder and in the left hand suspends by a ribbon the crowned heraldic shield of Holland. The composition is enclosed within a plain inner border, with the peripheral Latin legend arranged around the full circumference of the field. |

| Reverse description | At center, the crowned quartered shield bearing the lion of the United Provinces is displayed in high relief, with the four-digit date divided to either side of the shield flanking the lower portion. The royal crown surmounting the shield is rendered in fine detail with pellets and foliate ornament. The encircling Latin motto legend runs continuously around the periphery of the field, separated from the inner design by a beaded border. The overall design follows the standard heraldic convention of the Dutch Republic coinage of this series. |
