Reverse description At center, a crowned shield bearing the rampant lion of Holland, its tail raised and claws extended, is depicted in high relief. The date 1687 is divided by the shield, with numerals 16 to the left and 87 to the right of the escutcheon. The crowned shield is surmounted by a detailed royal crown with jeweled arches. The encircling Latin motto legend CONCORDIA RES PARVAE CRESCUNT runs around the periphery, interrupted by the shield. A milled border frames the entire design.
