| Obverse description | Central pellet surrounded by four radiating leaf or petal forms arranged in cruciform fashion, dividing the field into four quarters. Each quarter contains subsidiary decorative motifs including annulets, pellets, and curvilinear elements executed in the abstract Celtic artistic tradition. The overall composition presents a stylised foliate design with concentric ring ornaments and pellet clusters distributed across the flan. The design is rendered in low relief on an irregularly shaped flan typical of late Iron Age British coinage. |
