Obverse description Youthful male head facing right, rendered in fine archaic Etruscan style with elegantly curled hair arranged in layered waves across the crown. The face displays delicate modelling with a pronounced jawline and subtly parted lips. The numeral VII, serving as the mark of value, appears in the left field behind the head. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, characteristic of the hammered coinage of Populonia.

Reverse description The reverse is entirely blank, this coin being uniface — a distinctive feature of early Populonian silver coinage in which only a single die was employed during striking, leaving the reverse as a plain, unworked surface with irregular texture resulting from the hammering process.
