Obverse description Right-facing bust of Valentinianus II, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed, rendered in the late Roman imperial style characteristic of the Siscia mint. The emperor's effigy displays finely striated hair secured by a pearl diadem, with paludamentum fastened at the shoulder by a fibula. A beaded border encircles the coin's periphery. The Latin obverse legend DN VALENTINIANVS PF AVG runs around the bust within the beaded border.
