| Obverse description | Right-facing bust of the usurper Procopius, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed, with the diadem pendants visible behind the head. The effigy is rendered in the late Roman imperial tradition, with finely engraved hair and a strong profile. The cuirass is elaborately decorated at the shoulder, with fringed pteruges visible at the base of the neck. The encircling Latin legend reads D N PROCO-PIVS P F AVG, distributed across the upper and lower fields. |
