| Beschrijving voorzijde | Right-facing bust of Emperor Honorius, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed, rendered in the late antique imperial portrait style characteristic of the Theodosian dynasty. The emperor's effigy occupies the central field, with the paludamentum visible at the shoulder and the cuirass indicated beneath. The encircling Latin legend reads D N HONORI-VS P F AVG, identifying the emperor as Dominus Noster Honorius, Pius Felix Augustus. The flan is irregular in outline, as typical of struck siliquae of this period, with the legend partially visible around the periphery. |
