Obverse description Bare-headed, rosette-diademed bust of Constans facing right, depicted with finely engraved hair dressed in tight curls and the diadem composed of a row of rosettes with pendant ribbons visible behind the neck. The emperor is shown with a draped and cuirassed bust, conveying imperial authority in the late Roman tradition. The encircling Latin legend reads D N CONSTA-NS P F AVG, distributed across the field from left to right. The coin exhibits an irregular flan consistent with hand-hammered production and bears a pierced hole at the base of the bust, indicating later use as a pendant or amulet. The portrait style is characteristic of the Nicomedia mint's output during the reign of Constans.
