Reverse description Four-line votive inscription enclosed within a laurel wreath tied at the base with a large jewel or pellet, the whole serving as a formal declaration of vows for the emperor's quinquennial and decennial celebrations. The legend VOT V MVLT X is arranged in four horizontal lines within the wreath, proclaiming vows fulfilled at five years and multiplied toward ten. The mintmark MDPS appears in the exergue, identifying the emission as struck at the Mediolanum mint, officina Prima Secunda. The wreath border is rendered with fine detail consistent with late fourth-century siliqua production.
