| Obverse description | Bull standing to left on a line of pellets above a bead-and-reel decorative border, the whole set within a dotted border. Above the bull, a winged solar disk (symbol of Egyptian influence) is depicted, and to the left an ankh symbol appears in the field. The composition reflects strong Egypto-Phoenician artistic influence characteristic of Cypriot coinage of the mid-fifth century BC. |
