| 裏面の説明 | The forepart of a recumbent ram to the left, rendered in bold relief with the head turned back, occupies the central field. A large dotted shield or pellet-decorated rectangular device fills the right portion of the field. A flowering or leafed branch appears in the lower field. Cypriot syllabic signs are arranged in the field to the upper left, reading 'pa-si ni-ko-ta', an abbreviated royal inscription. The incuse treatment of the reverse and the irregular flan are characteristic of mid-fifth century Cypriot hammered silver coinage. |
