Siglos - Aris... Peiraeeus

Amisos, the Black Sea port city on the southern Pontic coast, operated under shifting political dominance throughout the fifth and fourth centuries — Athenian settlers established a clerouchy there around 440 BC, and the city briefly took the name Peiraeeus in an attempt to affiliate itself culturally and commercially with Athens during this period. The siglos-weight standard it adopted reflects that Athenian commercial orbit rather than the Persian weight system dominant inland.

HGC 7, 229 places this type firmly within that Athenian-influenced civic coinage phase, before Pontic and later Cappadocian pressure reasserted themselves over the city's monetary policy.
