(Translation: Victoria, by the grace of God.)
Reverse description Central device featuring the quartered Royal Arms of the United Kingdom displayed on an ornate shield, surmounted by the Imperial State Crown, all set against an elaborate background of scrolling acanthus-style foliage that fills the field in a richly engraved decorative manner. A garter bearing the motto HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE encircles the shield. A curved ribbon or scroll at the lower portion of the field carries the secondary motto DIEU ET MON DROIT. The overall composition is dense and baroque in character, reflecting the continental engraving style of Charles Wiener.
