| Description de l’avers | Densely inscribed field bearing bold Arabic calligraphy in the Naskh or Thuluth style, arranged within an oblique square (lozenge) cartouche set against a flat, unadorned ground. The central legend contains the ruler's name and royal titles in multiple lines, with additional inscriptions filling the outer margins of the flan. The hammered flan is irregular in outline, characteristic of Timurid-period Central Asian minting practice. The overall design is purely epigraphic, with no figural or geometric ornament. |

| Description du revers | Epigraphic field dominated by bold Arabic script, with the Shahada (Islamic profession of faith) prominently rendered in the central zone: 'La ilaha illa Allah, Muhammad rasul Allah'. The name and titles of Zahir al-Din Muhammad Babur, Sultan of Ferghana and later ruler of Herat and Kabul, appear in the surrounding legend. The die is applied to an irregularly shaped hammered flan consistent with early sixteenth-century Khurasani mint production, and the coin bears evidence of a countermark affirming Babur's authority. The field shows characteristic flat striking with slight weakness at the periphery. |
