| Description de l’avers | Entire field occupied by a multi-line royal titulature legend in bold thuluth script, reading the full honorific titles and name of Shah Tahmasp I. The mint name 'Zarb Tehran' (struck at Tehran) appears in a lower register, followed by the AH date 938 inscribed at the very base of the flan. The calligraphy is deeply struck in high relief with interlacing strokes characteristic of Safavid die-cutting, set against a flat, unadorned field. The irregular flan, typical of hammered coinage of this period, results in partial legend truncation at the margins. |

| Description du revers | The entire field is filled with the Shi'a kalima in bold thuluth script, arranged in three horizontal registers: the shahada 'La ilaha illa Allah' in the upper zone, 'Muhammad rasul Allah' in the central zone, and the Alid declaration 'Ali wali Allah' in the lower zone. The deeply engraved, interlacing calligraphic strokes are characteristic of Safavid religious coinage, affirming the dynasty's Twelver Shi'a confession. The flat field is otherwise devoid of ornament, and the irregular flan edge results in minor legend clipping at the periphery. |
