| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field filled with a dense, interlocking nastaliq inscription identifying the mint and regnal information, set within an elaborate cartouche formed by the intertwining calligraphic strokes themselves. The mint name Nimruz (present-day Sistan region) is incorporated within the legend. Peripheral legends extend toward the irregular flan edges, partially off-flan as is typical of this provincial issue. The overall composition reflects the Fourth Eastern Standard type as classified by Album for the reign of Shah Tahmasp I. |
