背面描述 The reverse presents a multi-line Arabic legend in thuluth script occupying the central field, reading 'khalada Allah mulkahu zarb Peshawar 1154' (May God perpetuate his reign, struck in Peshawar, 1154 AH). The mint name 'پیشاور' (Peshawar) and the regnal pious formula are arranged across two principal lines, with the AH date '1154' inscribed in the lower segment of the field. A raised linear cartouche or border frames the central inscription, and scattered pellet ornaments are visible in the field between the letter strokes. The overall design is consistent with Afsharid provincial hammered coinage conventions, with the irregular flan edge characteristic of hand-struck production.

附加信息

Nader Shah's Peshawar mint was active during his campaigns into the subcontinent following the 1739 sack of Delhi — one of the most destructive raids in Mughal history, which transferred an almost incomprehensible quantity of bullion westward into Afsharid coffers. The Type C classification distinguishes a specific calligraphic die arrangement used at this mint, documented in the Zeno corpus but still imperfectly understood in terms of its precise date range within the broader 1741 output.

Peshawar-struck Afsharid fractions are notoriously difficult to attribute with confidence; the mint changed hands repeatedly during Nader's later campaigns.
