| Obverse description | Helmeted head of Athena facing right, depicted in the Sicilian Greek tradition with a crested Corinthian-style helmet pushed back on the head. The facial features are rendered in a naturalistic late Hellenistic style, with visible curling locks of hair emerging beneath the helmet rim. The neck and draped shoulder are visible below, and the flan presents the characteristic irregular fabric of a hammered Sicilian bronze. A dotted border encircles the design. |
