| Obverse description | Bare male head facing right, rendered in a local Iberian artistic style showing Hellenistic influence. The effigy displays schematic hair locks and a torque or necklace encircling the neck, a characteristic adornment found on Ilergetan coinage of this period. The portrait occupies the majority of the flan, with the field largely plain and uninscribed. The modelling is bold but somewhat summary, consistent with provincial hammered bronze production of the early 2nd century BC. |
