Reverse description Victory personified, nude to the hips, standing to the right with her right foot resting on a helmet, inscribing the letters VIC AVG in two lines upon a large round shield that is affixed to a palm tree. The composition is a standard Flavian victory type celebrating the conclusion of the Jewish War, with the palm tree serving as a direct allusion to Judaea Capta. The field is flanked by the senatorial authorization marks S C (Senatus Consultum) on either side of the central device.
