| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Vespasian facing right, rendered in bold high relief characteristic of Flavian imperial portraiture. The emperor's features are naturalistic, with a strong jaw, short cropped hair beneath the laurel wreath, and a paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The surrounding legend runs clockwise around the circumference of the flan. The coin shows an irregular, slightly convex flan typical of hand-struck sestertii of this period. |
