Reverse description The personification of Pax rendered as a draped female figure standing left in full length, her head turned to face left. In her extended right hand she holds an olive branch, symbol of peace and reconciliation, while her left arm cradles a cornucopiae, emblematic of abundance and prosperity. The monogram S C (Senatus Consultum) appears in large letters in the field to either side of the figure, affirming senatorial authority over the bronze coinage. The reverse legend PAX AVGVSTI is inscribed around the upper periphery.
