The legend LIBERTAS PVBLICA is inscribed along the outer rim, with the senatorial authorization mark S C (Senatus Consultum) disposed on either side of the figure in the field. The composition is typical of early Flavian bronze coinage, evoking the restoration of public freedom following the civil wars of 69 AD. |
