Reverse description The personification of Libertas stands in full figure facing left, draped in a flowing stola and palla, extending her right hand forward to present a pileus (the freedman's cap, symbol of liberty) while holding a long vindicta (rod) upright in her left hand. The monumental senatorial abbreviation S C (Senatus Consultum) is prominently placed in the field to either side of the figure, flanking the goddess at mid-body level. The reverse legend LIBERTAS PVBLICA encircles the design along the rim, affirming the public freedom proclaimed by the new Flavian dynasty. The composition follows established Julio-Claudian iconographic conventions adapted to Flavian political messaging.
