| Obverse description | Bare-necked, laureate bust of Vespasian facing right, rendered with strong realistic portraiture characteristic of Flavian imperial coinage. The emperor's aged features — furrowed brow, prominent nose, and firm jaw — are boldly modelled in high relief. The laurel wreath, symbol of military victory and imperial authority, is clearly visible at the crown. The encircling legend runs from lower left around the full field, incuse in a beaded border. |
