The legend CONCOR AVG is distributed in the upper field, while the senatorial authority mark S C (Senatus Consultum) appears prominently in the lower exergual area, affirming the senate's authorization of this bronze issue. The composition reflects the Flavian propaganda of restored civic concord following the turbulent Year of the Four Emperors. |
